Gallows are the most exciting band to emerge from the UK punk/hardcore scene in years.
Formed in the conurbation town of Watford in early 2005, the quintet’s members cut their teeth playing in various lauded local punk/hardcore bands.
Inspired by the early 80s hardcore scene (Minor Threat, Black Flag), 90s Swedish hardcore bands such as Refused, the metal riffs of Mastodon and the discordance of key underground bands such as Swing Kids, and JR Ewing, Gallows’ premier goal was to wrestle punk back from the fashion police and re-invest it with passion, brutality and menace.
They did this by writing a set of songs that had little to do with haircuts or singing love songs in American accents and everything to do with confrontation, violence and the seething, simmering anxieties of life in an archetypal dead-end English town.
Here – finally – is a band that imbues English punk with the same social commentary as The Clash or The Specials. Though this time it is under a Labour government and out in the wider world different wars are being fought, Gallows remind us that in the concrete-paved streets and graffiti-strewn underpasses of the provinces, little has changed: “Black knuckles and broken teeth / Grey days and grey streets,” they sing like a battered Betjeman on ‘Come Friendly Bombs’. “The same faces, the same release / If this town had a name it would be defeat…”

SOUNDS LIKE VIOLENCE convey their white-hot, angsty music with a crushing sense of urgency. A melting pot of emotive sensibilities, they roar, wail and gush melody with the greatest of skill.
Their raw, tactile edge is utterly devoid of any kind of preened finish, leaving it stripped to the core and downright gritty, gripping and real. The band have their own way of softening the brash sound they immerse you in, adding a spoonful of sugar to their bitterly performed rocktastic stomp. Their compelling melodies draw you in with ease, limbs flailing and self-control subsiding as SOUNDS LIKE VIOLENCE's bounding energy shows little sign of being defeated.
Hailing from the suburbs of London, alternative "magician" Ollie Jason is electric, explosive, forceful and loud, both offstage and on. Combining his love for music and magic, Ollie is clearly driven by the spirit of rock, and now he's started, he 'aint gonna stop. Within the first 4 months of performing in the music scene, Ollie had several huge events, including the Victory Records Tour and Taste Of Chaos under his belt.
With his real and invasive approach to magic, Ollie is known for affecting inanimate objects and playing with the minds of his audiences close up, and onstage, his unique cross between a rock show and playing with guillotines and the like will continue to take him round the world.

Since 2000 four girls in their twenties form Pristine. They developed a music genre which they call garage punk galore: garage rock combined with punknroll and a good deal of indie attitude. They are a thrilling live-band and know how to make you put on your dancing shoes.
The band from Bochum/Dortmund/Muenster, West-Germany, has played about 100 shows in Germany (among others with Ash, Gluecifer, The Gossip and The Shocker) and England. In 03/2006 they recorded their first full-length album "Hands Up! Hands Up!" with BluNoise legend Guido Lucas, Christian Wagner and Jeff Collier in the BluBox Studio in Troisdorf/Germany, which will be hopefully released by the end of 2006.

Cancer Bats have come to destroy. Fueled by a burning desire to rage harder, play louder and have more fun than any other band, Cancer Bats mix hardcore, southern metal and punk rock into a lethal rock and roll explosion.
The band originated in May of 2004 with singer Liam Cormier and guitarist Scott Middleton, former member of Toronto metal band At The Mercy Of Inspiration. The two wanted to form a project that combined their favorite parts of bands like Refused, Black flag, Led Zeppelin and Down, among others. The lineup was rounded out with the addition of Andrew McCracken on bass and Mike Peters on drums.
The four-piece wasted no time writing and recording songs for a self-released EP that saw light in January of 2005 (later reissued on Oct 31 2005 on vinyl by Tragicomedy Records). The band began playing shows throughout North America, spreading the gospel of rage with bands such as Every Time I Die, Nora, Alexisonfire, Haste the Day, It Dies Today, Bane, Comeback Kid, Buried Inside, A Life Once Lost, The Bled, Misery Signals and This Is Hell. With hundreds of shows and several tours in the US and Canada under their belts, Cancer Bats are eager to party in every city, town and metropolis that will have them. Cancer Bats' long anticipated first full-length record "BIRTHING THE GIANT" is due out NOW on Distort Records and will be released September 5/06 on Abacus Recordings.

The band was formed at the beginning of 1999 and they made their music debut in 2000 with the self- edition of a maxi CD called Katherine J. Cocks including 5 tracks that established their reputation as a band.
The fact of winning the Islas Baleares Art Jove 2002 contest helped them to record their first album called Never Look Back, at Electric Chair Studios produced by Pablo Ochando and Marc Bronsard. The album was released in March of 2003 under Blau/Discmedi Majorcan label. That same year they made a Tour around Europe and one year later around the USA. Just after their USA Tour (with the band Chiodos), No Children made a change in their original formation engaging a new guitar player called Dimas, who opened a new period in the band. In 2004 they recorded their new album Reality at the same record studios which was later edited by Electric Chair Music (beginning of 2005) with the same producers. The CD contains twelve straight and hi-octane melodic Punk Rock tracks with an amazing production.
